2013 Games Workshop Release Schedule Rumors

Yet again we have some solid intel on the supposed upcoming release schedule. This time from a mostly reliable source quoted on Faeit.

Again take this with some salt, but if I was a betting man I would put some money on a a very similar schedule actually transpiring.

Im still bummed about the plastic Thunderhawk not being a real thing :(

Space Marines Last Codex of 2013, Tyranids First in 2014

With so many releases, and knowing that we are seeing something big every month coming from Games Workshop, we have been trying to figure out exactly how the rest of 2013 will turn out. Well, Stickmonkey has laid out what he has down as a release schedule for 2013, and it of course correlates with the Hastings line up.

Please note, that I am not doing anything for April's Fools Day. Not really appropriate for this kind of site. unless it was beyond obvious.

Please remember that these are rumors, although they are looking very good at the moment. This list is starting to make a lot of sense from previous rumors.

Of course, I am getting more than a little excited for Eldar.

via Stickmonkey from the Faeit 212 inbox
May: High Elves
June: Eldar
July: Apocalypse
August: Lizardmen
September: Blood Bowl
October: Space Marines
November: Dwarves?
December: Hobbit
January: Tyranids

I had Dwarves a lot sooner than others, so its probably safe to leave a question mark. It could possibly be brettonians or wood elves. Im basing my prediction of Dwarves on where I recall them being design wise, which was right after lizardmen.

I've had multiple confirmations of space marines being the last 40k codex of 2013 and Tyranids being the first codex of 2014.

October is a Black Box release, blood bowl and Warhammer quest have come up, although...it could be something surprisingly different...

When Hastings weighs in, I'd go with his schedule always.

Wood Elves and Sisters of Battle should be released in the same month in order to make some heads explode

My wife would love to see a Wood Elves book released. Too bad they have forgotten about them.

Question here, I am about to purchase, like end of today, a Space Marine Storm Eagle. Should I go ahead or wait on the Marine Codex since I have heard they are bringing some flyers. Will they come up with something similar and as cool looking in plastic? and...YAAYYY! for Tyranids!

To be fair the book is still relatively solid despite two editions without an update, it's better to not try and fix what isn't broken.

I agree. The SMC still provides the most variety of builds available. And the point costs are not that much of set from the new DA book, with a few exceptions.

Blood Bowl!!! Really!? I hope they didn't screw any of the rules up. I got a new season a month after the release.

Save IG for last (even after Sisters). Then they will go from being a Top Level Tourny Codex to pure Awesome-sause.

true but with all this flying orks are getting mulched.

Apparently Black Templars are being merged into the new vanilla SM codex.

Other than they were late 5th Ed...plenty of other codexs that are older than them.
